Olga Lapata, 88, beloved wife of the late Anastasios Lapatas, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024. Born on October 15, 1935 in Kalamata, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Panagiotis and Evagelia Karabela.

Olga lived a full and righteous life.  She was a successful entrepreneur, owning her own beauty spa in Athens, Greece in her early years.  She was also a savvy merchant.  She imported marble and granite from Italy and Brazil, and exported walnut timber from Greece.  When she wasn’t conducting business, Olga loved to cook and bake for the people she loved.  Her recipes, especially her cookies and bread, will forever be cherished. Olga was a world traveler, living in Greece, Italy, and the US throughout her life.  She also loved to entertain by throwing lavish parties. Olga loved to dance and sing. She had an eye for beauty and was also very creative.  She had an affinity for flowers and anything that was colored purple.  She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, tenacity, and kindness.

Olga’s legacy continues by her cherished son, Panagiotis Lapatas and his wife, Deva; adoring grandchildren, Anastasios Leandros and Evangelos Ethan Lapatas; as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Theodoros Karabelas.
